No, this is not a review on the book or movie, but rather a questioning of those already out there. I will not spoil my blog with a picture of it.  Nor do I even want to say the name.  I will get down to it immediately. Are these books/movies something that Catholics should be allowed to watch, or read. Never mind writing a promoting review? It seems that to infiltrate the Church and appeal to Catholic readers, you can almost include sexual content, and no one will care about the morals of anything else in the book.  Reading review after review, I’ve seen it time and time again.

 ”I only felt the books were not appropriate for children under 17 and I strongly suggested parents read the book series first before giving it to their children. Happy Saint Joseph’s Day!

Well, today is a solemnity, so I will take some time off from fasting and Lenten sacrifices to post on St. Joseph’s day. When someone says that he is the protector of the Church, it is a huge understatement. And a huge undertaking. Being Saint Joseph, and living by the “of whom much is given, much is expected” guidelines, there are men who might just flat out refuse.  Being protector of the Holy Family is no small task!  I think that if he did that succesfully, than can it be that hard to be protector of our own faith?  

Saint Joseph, I, your unworthy child, greet you. You are the faithful protector and intercessor of all who love and venerate you. You know that I have special confidence in you and that, after Jesus and Mary, I place all my hope of salvation in you, for you are especially powerful with God and will never abandon your faithful servants. Therefore I humbly invoke you and commend myself, with all who are dear to me and all that belong to me, to your intercession. I beg of you, by your love for Jesus and Mary, not to abandon me during life and to assist me at the hour of my death.

Glorious Saint Joseph, spouse of the Immaculate Virgin, obtain for me a pure, humble, charitable mind, and perfect resignation to the divine Will. Be my guide, my father, and my model through life that I may merit to die as you did in the arms of Jesus and Mary.

Loving Saint Joseph, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, I raise my heart to you to implore your powerful intercession in obtaining from the Divine Heart of Jesus all the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special grace I now implore:

Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I feel confident that your prayers in my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God. Amen.

We must reflect on Saint Joseph.  Pray the novena.  Saint Joseph never let evil infiltrate the Holy Family.  He protected it.  Pray to be like Saint Joseph.  The first Saint of the New Testament, and one of the most important.  Strive to be like St. Joseph, and he will not fail.

Glorious St. Joseph, model of all who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work in the spirit of penance in expiation of my many sins; to work conscientiously by placing love of duty above my inclinations; to gratefully and joyously deem it an honor to employ and to develop by labor the gifts I have received from God, to work methodically, peacefully, and in moderation and patience, without ever shrinking from it through weariness or difficulty to work; above all, with purity of intention and unselfishness, having unceasingly before my eyes death and the account I have to render of time lost, talents unused, good not done, and vain complacency in success, so baneful to the work of God. All for Jesus, all for Mary, all to imitate thee, O patriarch St. Joseph! This shall be my motto for life and eternity.

A Little Something New

I have introduced a little something new on the sidebar. I call it, “…And I say to you!…” Where I will either come up with something smart to do, (very unlikely) or quote someone else. Since you won’t know whether or not I am quoting someone, and since I won’t be able to remember who said it, just assume God said it. It’s what he would say. (I hope! ) I will try to update it every week.

Our Failing Dollar Part III

          Well, things are progressing more quickly than I thought possible.  The economy is clearly headed towards the worst collapse since the Great Depression, with only one major difference.  The dollar is worth far less than it was last time.    Last time, we were on the gold standard, so we couldn’t pump trillions of dollars into the system, trying to “stimulate” the economy.  Does anyone actually think that adding more money into the economy is going to “stimulate” it?  The people in congress know that all it will do is make it worth less, and less, and less, until it is unavoidable having to switch to a new currency.  Up until recently, I would have said: “And I present to you…The AMERO!”  However, my opinion has changed.  The whole world is collapsing.  The economy in, yes even Switzerland, is failing.  And that’s where all the money is!    So, I have a better idea.  The “World-O”  If I introduce this plan to congress, maybe they will pay me money for the idea.  It sounds like a cereal, lol.  The amount of cash that they are trying to put into the system is an insult to the average American!  They think us that stupid, so that we can’t even tell, that the less money we have, the better?!  We have gone too far!  The only thing to do now, is to ride it out!  Instead, they are just prolonging the crash, so that when it actually happens, (they can’t make it go away) it will be much, much, much, worse.  A toddler could figure it out!  I don’t want to sound like a “my grandmother can run faster than you!” type person, but come on!  These people have degrees in law, and in commerce, and in all sorts of things, but they are too stupid to not realize that?!  Or is there a plan?  Maybe they want us to be so destroyed economically, that we will come begging to them, asking them to solve our problems.  And then will come the Amero, or something of the sort, and, (so they think) no one will care that it comes with Mexico, and Canada.  What they don’t realize, (sin clouds judgement) is that we will come with guns and hangman’s nooses, and tell them to make it right.  Hence, they have to take our guns away.  Look at Nazi Germany.  Same exact thing.  Look at Nazi Italy, same thing.  This is their last chance to put things right, but they apparently don’t want to.  WAKE UP AMERICA!  Look around you!  See what is happening!  Do something!  But for the average American, as long as they can text people on their cellphone, they don’t care.  Just let them text, and watch television, and listen to music, and play video games, and they don’t care.  Stimulate their brain with something that requires no hard work, and they don’t care.  Use your brain, people.  It’s coming.

Where is Man in Life – II

          Ah, yes, the long awaited sequel that I figured I would never get around to writing.  You know,  this being sick and all (I have a doctors appointment later) has given me a lot more time to write and think.  I’ve got to be more laid back, not so much “in your face.”  If you get what I mean.    To start, offense is the best defense, but defensive offense, is the best offense.  So that’s the game I’ll play.  Defensive offense.  I feel as though I have accomplished something today.  After more than a year, I have finally figured out what the equivalent of Eastern Standard Time is to UTC.  -5:00, in case you were wondering.  Some of the comments in my last one were taken in more of a literal since.  I had a couple of people telling to to go join the army.  Hopefully, I will someday, but for now, I don’t qualify.  But that brings us to the important topic of the army.  ”War has always been man’s main occupation.”  ~General Brad Whitaker – James Bond – The Living Daylights.  (I think.)  From Cesar to Napoleon to Hitler to Me.  Every man has a vigor in him.
